Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bloomberg Administrator to manage all aspects of Bloomberg services and subscriptions within the firm. The role includes overseeing data access, user permissions, contract management, and ensuring compliance with IT audit standards. This is a critical function bridging financial market data with IT governance, ensuring smooth operations and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bloomberg Market Data Management
• Manage Bloomberg Terminal subscriptions across the organization.
• Monitor and optimize usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and avoid unnecessary licenses.
• Collaborate with business teams (e.g., trading, research) to assess data needs and ensure access to relevant Bloomberg functions and tools.
• Track entitlements and data usage to ensure compliance with Bloomberg’s licensing rules.

2. Login and Permissions Management
• Handle setup and deactivation of Bloomberg user accounts.
• Assign appropriate permissions based on job roles (e.g., trading desk vs. back office).
• Troubleshoot login issues, multi-factor authentication problems, and device registrations.
• Maintain accurate records of users and permissions.

3. Bloomberg Contract and Vendor Management
• Review and manage contracts with Bloomberg, including renewals and service agreements.
• Act as the point of contact with Bloomberg representatives for billing, usage, and compliance issues.
• Ensure that contract terms align with organizational usage and needs.
• Negotiate pricing or terms where appropriate.

4. IT Audit & Compliance Support
• Ensure Bloomberg access and data usage is aligned with IT policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external audits (e.g., SOX, GDPR, etc.).
• Coordinate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure proper data governance.
• Maintain an up-to-date access log and audit trail.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience managing Bloomberg Terminal environments (B-Pipe, Enterprise Data Feed, etc.)
• Familiarity with Bloomberg’s licensing model and entitlements system.
• Knowledge of IT governance, audits, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with both technical IT staff and financial professionals.
• Vendor management and contract negotiation skills a plus.
