Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Manage Civil Infrastructure and Utility Projects related to water and wastewater
  • Lead team to successfully deliver projects.
  • Prepare and review preliminary and final plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates, and make recommendations.
  • Responsible for working with the design team for day-to-day decisions on resource allocation, and project budgets
  • Manage the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for projects.
  • Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project.
  • Coordinate with the City, State, and County officials, contractors, and clients.
  • Proficient in CADD / Civil 3D techniques and principles.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in NY or NJ required
  • Minimum 15 years of water/wastewater engineering experience, ideally including the design and constriction of full (including greenfield) wastewater treatment plants
  • Pipe flow modeling experience
  • Water treatment plant design experience a plus
  • Lift station design experience a plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Multi-tasker
  • Ability to collaborate in a remote/hybrid work environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent team-builder, client cultivator, quality manager, and operational leader
