Position Overview

As a Commercial Construction Superintendent at Greenstreet, you’ll be the driving force behind the successful execution of our projects. You’ll lead on-site operations by example, ensuring that our commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork is reflected in all aspects of the construction process. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting commercial construction ventures, from office buildings and retail spaces to hospitality and service facilities. Your expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in delivering projects that surpass client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead all phases of the project on site, ensuring projects are completed on time, of high quality, and within budget with high morale.
  • Project Leadership: Manage all aspects of on-site operations including organization, work methods, scheduling, cost control, conformity with drawings and specs, and workmanship. Lead and coordinate trade partners and construction crews, fostering a team and high-performance work environment. Preside over weekly and daily trade partner meetings designed to coordinate work.
  • Safety First:  Champion a safety-first culture, enforcing that all workers adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Schedule Management:  Develop and maintain project schedules, hold weekly schedule update meetings, plan and coordinate tasks and personnel with trade partners daily, and ensure that everyone knows the plan and their commitments to reach it.
  • Project Documentation: Responsible for daily logs, schedule updates, weekly look ahead, punch list, and other required project documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Demand a high devotion to providing a quality product without exception. Conduct quality inspections of the project to ensure that the trade partners are fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.
  • Client Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and roadblocks, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Problem Solving:  Identify and resolve on-site challenges and roadblocks promptly, ensuring minimal impact on the project’s progress.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to travel as needed to serve projects across the West Texas and New Mexico regions for the full duration of each assigned project
  • 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Project Superintendent
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering commercial construction projects; both renovation and ground-up
  • On-site leadership skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to lead project operations meetings
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to travel to project locations
  • Proficiency in computers including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bluebeam experience a plus
  • Procore experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
