Human Resources Generalist | Employee Benefits, Employee Training, HR The EHS Manager leads all planning and execution of safety policies, procedures, training, state and federal compliance, and more to ensure the Mission Bell team leads the millwork industrial in safety. This position may manage safety coordinators. Key Responsibilities - other duties may be assigned. Develop, maintain, and execute an annual safety plan that reduces hazards, near misses, recordable injuries. Coordinate safety training for manufacturing, installation teams on job sites, and office staff. Conduct regular facility and job site safety walks to identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions. Establish and coordinate a safety committee to execute improvement projects, plan/execute emergency drills, and improve safety metrics. Publish safety Key Process Indices with key actions for improvement. Partner with our clients to best practice safety ideas that promote Mission Bell’s reputation for safety. Maintain current all necessary documentation and records. (safety data sheets, training records, hazardous waste logs, VOC logs, worker compensation logs, etc.) Create and maintain JHA (job hazard analysis) to ensure safe work environments Continuously conduct research of Cal OSHA, OSHA, and other governmental agency’s standards, and advise on policy maintenance, creation, and implementation. Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations. Manage personal protective equipment “just in time” inventory and place orders, as required Document safety standard work and PPE requirements. Develop authorized user training for lock-out procedures on key equipment. Lead capital safety/security projects. Develop site security plan. Manage safety coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
  • Ability to lead and teach a team
  • Great attention to detail
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Current certifications in first air, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour construction safety and industry standards.
Computer Skills:
  • High proficiency in data entry
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
