Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join a prestigious global consultancy at their New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional eager to develop expertise in cost planning and commercial management across high-profile projects. Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Support senior estimators in evaluating subcontractor quotes and bid submissions.
• Help track project costs and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to value engineering exercises and procurement strategy discussions.
• Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Prepare documentation for change orders and cost reports.
• Ensure cost data is accurately entered and maintained in tracking systems.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project managers and engineers.

To be successful in your application, you will have:

• 1–3 years of experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or cost management.
• A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and estimating principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost estimating tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a consultancy setting.
