The Division of Engineering (DOE) provides key technical services including civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, geotechnical engineering, geology, structural engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, safety engineering, construction management and inspection, construction cost estimating, geomatics, and real estate acquisition and management. This position resides within the Project Management Branch that is responsible for the planning, leading, and organizing of the division’s Project Management Coordination, Program Control, and Environmental Coordination sections. This includes providing program and project management services, budget and program control services, and project development and management services related to environmental compliance. Additionally, this position will work closely with DOE’s Program Management group, which ensures the environmental, historical and cultural elements of the California Aqueduct Subsidence Program (CASP) and its projects are properly aligned with program goals. This work is carried out though a matrixed managed team structure.

Applicants must be able to travel on short notice including overnight lodging on some assignments and be willing to work irregular and extended hours during outages or emergencies. Must possess a valid California’s driver license to operate vehicles on public roadways for State business.
