Job Description

Our client, a leading player in the food science industry, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Research, Development & Application (RD&A) department supporting the Savory Taste and Stocks & Broths Labs. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Beloit, WI

Pay Range: 27-30/hr

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

What's the Job?

• Maintain an organized and clean lab atmosphere by restocking labware and managing dishwashing duties.
• Manage lab inventory of raw materials and finished goods to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in sensory evaluation of savory raw materials and food products.
• Communicate effectively with team members to address challenges and errors promptly.
• Support team members by running materials from the warehouse to labs across the site.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma required; 1-2 years of lab experience preferred.
• College education in Food Science or a related science field preferred.
• MUST be able to taste all animal by-products and have no allergen restrictions.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Email, Excel, Word) and willingness to learn new systems.
