**Job Overview:**
The Activity Assistant will support the planning, implementation, and facilitation of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents/patients/participants. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to promote meaningful engagement within our community.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of daily activities, programs, and events.
- Facilitate and lead group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, music, and exercise classes.
- Engage residents/patients/participants in individual activities and provide one-on-one support as needed.
- Set up and clean up activity spaces, ensuring they are safe and organized.
- Encourage participation and promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and report any concerns or observations to the supervising staff.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a well-rounded program that meets the diverse needs of participants.
- Assist in organizing special events, outings, and celebrations as needed.
- Uphold a high standard of safety and adherence to facility policies and regulations.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in recreation, social services, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
- Creative thinking and enthusiasm for planning and leading activities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with record-keeping.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferable; willing to obtain if not current.

**Physical Requirements:**
